The Oakland Film Society presents The 13th Oakland International Film Festival- April 2-5th, 2015 at various venues in the East Bay. In the City of San Leandro, the Historic Bal Theater in San Leandro will be the main location for screenings.
For the past 12 years, through The Oakland International Film Festival, The Oakland film Society has showcased over 500 independent films from filmmakers from around the world (including filmmakers from Oakland (Bay Area). With a mission of promoting filmmakers and their stories, The Oakland International Film Festival hosts screenings, workshops/panels, and special events to network filmmakers and to bring more awareness to the art of filmmaking.
